Dr. Marnie is an interdisciplinary leader with 40+ years of experience across academic institutions, not-for-profit organizations, and all levels of government, including serving as a former municipal mayor. She steers ANIEH’s national vision toward resilient infrastructure, inclusive economies, and environmental leadership.

Director of Research & Business Development
Dr. Pepper is a Registered Nurse and research-driven entrepreneur with expertise in business development, health economics, and environmental health. She leads national innovation and capacity-building programs that equip professionals to launch sustainable enterprises and advance Canada’s cross-sector emergency preparedness and resilience.

Dr. Cheryl C PhD, MN, BScN, BSc (HNSc), RN
Director of Public Health Systems & Practice Transformation
Dr. Cheryl is a systems thinker and nursing leader with 30+ years of experience in public health, education, and nursing practice development. She champions nurse-led care models and equitable access to health care services, and is committed to elevating the professional profile of nursing in Canada.

Manager of Systems Integration & Strategic Foresight
Dr. Janna is a futurist and policy strategist with expertise in emergency management, curriculum integration, and scenario-based simulation. She leads ANIEH’s foresight planning and multi-sector resilience initiatives.

Elder Louise McKay BA
Cultural & Knowledge Advisor
Wa Wa Tei Ikwe (Elder Louise) is a Métis Elder from the historic Red River Settlement in Manitoba. She guides the ethical integration of Indigenous worldviews into ANIEH’s work, ensuring cultural continuity, ecological ethics, and respectful, land-based engagement.
